The outlook is stable. Kazakhstan’s national scale rating is affirmed at 'KzAAA'. The transfer and convertibility assessment have remained ‘BBB+’. S&P notes that Kazakhstan’s ratings are supported by its high budget indicators and fine external balance sheets, significant natural reserves, as well as a high and noncyclical inflow of foreign direct investments.
